Mr. Marco Garcia

Mr. Garcia began his career in 1998 as a middle school math and science teacher in South Central Los Angeles. For the past four-and-a-half years, he has served as an assistant principal at Kaiser High School.

Mr. Garcia’s life experience serves him well. His career has been shaped by overcoming the severe hardships he experienced as a child growing up in poverty in northeast Los Angeles.  His desire to prove that he could succeed pushed him to achieve and surpass all goals he set for himself.  As a result, Mr. Garcia went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in sociology and psychology from UCLA, a teaching credential and master’s degree in education from National University, and an administrative credential from Cal State Dominguez Hills.

As an educator, he has dedicated his career to providing both students and faculty with a safe and motivational environment, hoping to inspire those around him to strive for success.
