Coach Colbrunn is a proud alumnus of Fontana High School (c/o 1993) and the son of two Fohi alums (c/o 1966 & 1967). He was named the Athletic Director at Fontana High School in the 2012-2013 school year while he was still the Head Varsity Baseball Coach (2005-2014). He also served as an Assistant Varsity Football Coach (2008-2009), JV Baseball Coach (1999), and Assistant Freshmen Football Coach (1998). In addition to coaching at Fohi, he was part of the inaugural Football and Baseball staffs at Kaiser High School (1999-2005).

While attending Fohi, Coach Colbrunn played Varsity Football and Baseball for the Steelers. He is proud to be part of the CBL Champions 1992 Football team that advanced to the CIF Semi Finals, as well as a part of the 1993 CBL Champion Baseball team that advanced to the CIF Quarterfinals. Fun Fact, Coach Colbrunn shares the honor of winning a CBL Baseball title with his father, whose team earned that right in 1966.

After graduating from Fohi, Coach Colbrunn received his BA in Political Science from UC Riverside (1997). Subsequently, he earned his Single-Subject Teaching Credential (Social Sciences) from National University (1999) and an MA in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University, Irvine (2018). In addition to teaching at Fontana High School, Coach Colbrunn previously taught at Southridge Middle School and Kaiser High School.

Coach Colbrunn is incredibly proud to be both a part of Fohi Athletics' rich tradition, and its bright future. Every time our athletes take the field, it is one more chance to show the world that STEELERS ATHLETICS IS PRIDE!
